The second step in setting up your Sitewide Sale is to select a Sale Type and associated Discount or Coupon Code. Sitewide Sales currently integrates with WooCommerce and Paid Memberships Pro. More integrations will be available in the future, so please let us know if there is a specific integration you would like to see.

About Sale Discounts and Coupon Codes

When a site visitor sees your sale’s banner or visits the sale landing page, the Add On will create a cookie and begin tracking their activity for reporting purposes.

Users will receive the discounted price at checkout based on sale settings and whether the cookie is present for their session. This will function as if they had entered the associated Coupon Code or Discount Code as part of the checkout experience. You can decide whether to apply discounts automatically or based on certain rules in the sale’s settings.

How to Set Your Sale Type

  1. Navigate to Sitewide Sales > All Sitewide Sales in the WordPress admin.
  2. Select a sale to edit or click “Add New” to create a new sale.
  3. In the second settings box labeled “Step 2: Sale Type” choose the appropriate integration for this sale.
  4. Save All Settings

The documentation below explains additional settings that are specific to the chosen Sale Type.

Paid Memberships Pro

  1. In the second settings box labeled “Step 2: Sale Type” choose “Paid Memberships Pro”.
  2. Select an existing Discount Code to assign to this sale or create a new code specific to this sale. You can edit the assigned Discount Code by clicking the “edit code” button.
  3. Choose whether to “Apply Discount Automatically”.

Note: Before Sitewide Sales was a standalone plugin, there was a version of the plugin exclusively developed for Paid Memberships Pro customers. Membership sites that used this previous version can migrate historic sale data into the new plugin via a one-click migration step. View the guide »
